Rain

It washes over the land in waves, soaking into every nook and cranny.

It beads on cars and splatters againt windshields. It slides off roofs and gurgles down

drainpipes.

It puddles on roads and slithers down windows

It turns Asphalt to ice and dirt into greasy fudge.

It can be as fine as sugar or as coarse as gravel.

It can drift gently on the wind or barrel through it like meteors.

It rarely calls ahead and always arrives unannounced.

It makes for a very rude houseguest.
This is more of a writing experiment than anything else. It's not that great, but I like it.

Is this an experiment where you're looking to improve your craft or one of those "experiments"? If it's the former, I have a few notes of critique. The latter? I'm talking about one of those experiments where it's just for fun. For example, the experiment involving bottle rockets I did a few years back. The goal was to figure out what happens if you light the rocket, wait until the fuse is almost totally burned up and then throw it as high as you can. Though the experiment was highly successful, it was not one where I was seeking peer review of my results.
